Our licensed clinicians use the QbCheck FDA-cleared assessment along with standardized rating scales, clinical interviews, and review of symptoms across multiple settings. We offer personalized treatment plans including FDA-approved medications (stimulants and non-stimulants), behavioral therapy, and ongoing monitoring to ensure optimal outcomes for both children and adults.
What ADHD medications do you prescribe?
We prescribe both stimulant and non-stimulant medications based on individual needs:
Stimulants:
- Adderall/Adderall XR (amphetamine)
- Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)
- Ritalin/Concerta (methylphenidate)
- Focalin XR (dexmethylphenidate)
Non-stimulants:
- Strattera (atomoxetine)
- Wellbutrin (bupropion)
- Qelbree (viloxazine)
- Intuniv (guanfacine)
Stimulant Requirements: Before prescribing stimulant medications, we require:
- Urine drug screening (UDS)
- EKG (electrocardiogram) to assess heart health

We consider factors like symptom severity, lifestyle, other medical conditions, and potential side effects to create a personalized treatment approach that maximizes benefits while minimizing risks.

What is the cancellation policy for therapy and/or medication management sessions?
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Please contact our office as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment. If you provide at least 48 hours’ notice, there is no fee to reschedule.
Cancellation Fees:
- $75 fee for appointments cancelled within 24 hours or same-day late cancellations
This policy helps us maintain our schedule and accommodate other patients who may need appointments. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
How do I schedule ongoing appointments?
Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled during your visit. You can also reach out to our office directly to book additional sessions. For your convenience, appointments can also be scheduled online through our website or by texting our dedicated line.
How do I get my medication?
If your provider prescribes medication, it will be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Controlled substances require ongoing telehealth follow-ups and may involve additional requirements such as EKG or drug screenings.
Can you help me refill prescriptions?
Yes. Medication refills are provided during scheduled follow-up visits. Please allow adequate time for processing, and note that controlled substance refills require monthly telehealth check-ins. add- stimulant can take up to 48 hours to be sent to the pharmacy
Can I bring a friend or family member to my therapy session?
Yes. With your consent, a friend or family member may join your session if it supports your care.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?

How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. Consider your goals, communication style, and comfort level. Our providers work collaboratively with you to ensure a good fit.

How often should I attend therapy sessions?

Can I have therapy sessions remotely or online?
Yes. All appointments are conducted via telehealth, providing flexibility and access from your home.
How do I access my virtual session?
You’ll receive instructions and a secure link before your appointment. Simply log in at your scheduled time from a private device with internet access.
Do you offer inpatient services?
No. Polished Mind Psychiatry provides outpatient telehealth services only. If you require inpatient care, we can guide you toward appropriate resources.
Do you offer therapy for children, kids or teens?
At this time, our services are primarily for adults. Please contact our office to discuss care options for younger patients. Yes we do from age 6 and up
Do you provide support for medication management?
Yes. We specialize in medication management, including initial evaluations, ongoing prescriptions, and follow-up care.
What services do you offer?

How do I make an appointment?

In addition, we are in-network with Ambetter Exchange/Core Plans, Superior Health Plans, and Parkland Community Health Plan (STAR Medicaid and CHIP).
